Lyrics
BEGINNING OF THE END
Oh little one, you are so simple
Oh little one, you are so deadly now
Oh little one, you have entered us
Oh little one, we won’t forget you
Slip into my blood stream
Fall into my arms
Come inside my body
Come and do your harm
Oh tiny one, so young and tender
Oh tiny one, we will remember you
Oh tiny one, you have reminded us
Oh tiny one, you could have bound us all together
Slip into my blood stream
Fall into my arms
Come inside my body
Come and do your harm
It’s the beginning of the end
Beginning of the end
Oh little one, you are so simple
Oh little one, you are so deadly now
Oh little one, you have entered us
Oh little one, we won’t forget you, no
Slip into my blood stream
Fall into my arms
Come inside my body
Come and do your harm
Beginning of the end
Beginning of the end
Beginning of the end
Beginning of the end
It’s the beginning of the end
Slip into my blood stream
Fall into my arms

COMMENTS
This is another one of the older Jabberwock songs. It was meant to be a companion song immediately following Off.
We recorded a few different versions. This one is clearly the best. Mike co-produced it with me and solved some of the little technical arrangement issues.
We played this song live a lot during our Southland shows. The back and forth between Todd and me on lead vocals seemed to work really well in front of an audience.
We recorded this version after Southland was released. Had this mix been completed earlier, I think Beginning would have fit very well on Southland. It didn't fit with the Letterbomb songs
Beginning of the End is about AIDS. It was inspired by the tragic passing of a close friend and wonderful person named Robert Cohen. It is dedicated to his memory.
